Gabriel Bortoleto is in a rather rare position, with the Sauber rookie racing against his agent and mentor in two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin. The Brazilian and Spaniard represent two contrasting ends of the age scale of the 2025 grid, but they enjoy very close ties. Bortoleto is the fourth-youngest driver in the field at 20 years old, whereas Alonso is the eldest at 44. Alonso is even now the 55th-oldest driver in history. Father Time has not caught the Oviedo native yet, as well, with Alonso’s £19m-a-year Aston Martin contract taking him through the 2026 F1 season...
Formula 1 superstar Fernando Alonso is a big fan of MotoGP. He’s attended multiple races, including last year’s Austrian Grand Prix. Alonso saw Francesco Bagnaia win both races after his fellow Spaniard Jorge Martin had taken pole position. Just like this season, the race took place during F1’s summer break. The Mavericks are now outside contenders to compete in the playoffs with Flagg, Anthony Davis, and Kyrie Irving, once the latter returns from injury. They find themselves in the rare position of being able to compete straight after s...
Karen Khachanov enjoyed his best tournament in years last time out, narrowly coming up short in Toronto. When Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Novak Djokovic all withdrew from the Canadian Open, several lower-profile ATP Tour stars were gifted a great chance of making a deep run. Taking the opportunity with both hands, Khachanov defeated the likes of Casper Ruud and Alex Michelsen en route to the semifinals. Stepping onto Centre Court as a big underdog against the world number three, the Russian produced one of the biggest wins of his career when Khachanov defeated Alexander Zverev to book h...
