我が校のＡＬＴ紹介

Hello everyone. My name is Padraig O’ Connor and I am twenty five years old.I am from Ireland, a small island in the west of Europe. My hobbies include listening to music，playing sports，watching movies，reading，cooking and travelling．I studied English and Philosophy in the National University of Ireland，Galway and in the University of Malta. I have been teaching in Ashikaga Seifu High School for over one year now and I am very much enjoying my time here and in Japan in general．

Learning a language can be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences in your life if you approach it in the right manner. With this in mind，I would like to give some tips and advice to anyone who wants to improve their language ability.

1）Always remember learning a language is a life skill，not a subject just for

school.

2）Have fun learning．

3）Try to read English newspapers，magazines and books．

4）Watch movies in English．

5）Listen to music with English lyrics．

6）Try to speak with native speakers whenever possible．

7）Practice writing，even just a little bit everyday will help enormously．

8）The internet has many useful websites to aid learning．Use them．

9）Don’t be afraid to make mistakes．

10）It’s never too late to start learning．Everyone can learn a new language．

　今日は、皆さん　オコナー・ポードリック、２５歳　ヨーロッパの西にある島　

アイルランド出身です。趣味は音楽鑑賞、スポーツ、映画鑑賞、読書、料理、旅行です。

　私はアイルランドの国立ゴールウエイ大学とマルタの大学で英語と哲学を勉強

しました。

　現在は足利清風高校で１年以上教えていて、日本を大いに楽しんでいます。

　適切なやり方で取り組めば、言語を学ぶことは、非常に楽しく、あなたの人生において価値ある経験の１つとなりえるでしょう。このことを頭において、言語能力を伸ばしたい方への秘訣をお教えします。

１）言語を学ぶことは、単に学校の教科としてではなく、人生のスキルであることを常に忘れない。

２）楽しく学ぶ。

３）英字新聞、英語の雑誌や本を読むようにする。

４）英語で映画を鑑賞する。

５）英語の歌詞の曲を聴く。

６）できる限り、ネイティブスピーカーと話すよう心掛ける。

７）毎日少しずつでも、英語を書くと、上達にとても役立つ。

８）インターネットには、学習を支援する多くのサイトがあるので、利用する。

９）間違うことを恐れない。

10）学ぶのに遅すぎるということは決してない。誰もが新しい言語を学ぶことが

可能である。
