井戸湿原の環境ボランティア参加

7月7日(月)に、食料生産科の1年生、2年生と環境緑地科1年生、
2年生、3年生計158名で前日光県立自然公園井戸湿原の環境
保全ボランティアに参加しました。
井戸湿原は、貴重な湿生植物を含む多様な動植物が生息・生育
し、地域の観光資源としても価値がある場所です。しかし、野生獣
害による食害や本来生育していなかったミズバショウなどの外来
植物の生育により、従来の生態系への影響が懸念されています。
そのため、地元である本校としても、環境教育の機会と捉え、貴重
な湿原を保全する活動に協力しました。
初めに鹿沼市自然観察会の渡辺先生に除去する植物の説明を
聞き、除去する外来植物を確認しました。その後、湿原へ移動し、
生徒が一列になり湿原内のミズバショウやカラマツを除去しなが
ら進みました。
生徒が一つになり、貴重な湿原の環境保全活動に参加すること
ができました。
