【理科・化学基礎】ラムネを作ってみました
kurihara毎日暑い日が続いていますが、授業時の理科室からは元気な声が聞こえてきます。
暑い日には涼しい実験を！ということで、吸熱反応の実験を2種類行いました。
まずは、クエン酸と炭酸水素ナトリウム（重曹）をひとさじ両手にのせて、何滴か水を足らします。すると、しゅわしゅわと反応し一気に手のひらは冷え冷えに！あちらこちらから「冷たーい！」という声が。
しゅわしゅわの泡と粉をきれいに洗い流してもらい、今度は２つ目の実験へ。お菓子の「ラムネ」を作ってみます。
先ほどの実験でも使用した、クエン酸と炭酸水素ナトリウムを１：１で計量し、美味しくするために粉砂糖も加えます。極々少量の水を加えて、だまがなくなるまで根気よく混ぜていきます。
まだパサパサかな？というところで一度手を止め、ラムネらしく形を作っていきます。今回は小さい計量スプーンで成型しました。
白くてちょっと見づらいですが、しっかり形の整ったラムネができました。
最後は味見ですが…
「先生、口の中すごいことになります！」と生徒たち。
実はこのラムネ、市販品よりもかなり強力に発泡します。そのしゅわしゅわ具合に生徒たちもびっくりのようです。
身をもって吸熱反応を体験してもらった１時間でした。
