【理科・物理基礎】火起こしに挑戦しました！

日中も気温がなかなか上がらない日が増え、真冬の到来に暖かいものが恋しくなります。
さて、２年生自由選択の物理基礎では、そんな寒い日にぴったりな「火起こし」に挑戦しました。身をもって運動エネルギーを熱エネルギーに変えてもらいます。
この日も最高気温は一桁。雲一つない晴天に恵まれ空気はカラカラ、火起こしには最高のコンディションです（火の扱いには十分気を付けましょう！！）
火起こし器にはいくつか種類がありますが、今回使用する火起こし器は「まいぎり式」と呼ばれるものです。棒に紐をまきつけてその下の横板を上下させると、紐の動きで棒が回転し、地面の板との摩擦を起こして火を起こすものです。
最初は連続した回転がうまく起こせず苦戦していましたが、すぐにコツをつかみ、回転が続くようになっていきました。
たちまち煙が昇ります…が、なかなか火種を生み出すに至らず、繰り返すこと何回か。
見事赤く光る火種を回収し、風よけのためお借りしたちりとりの中へ。
何度か消えそうになりながらも、生徒たちは協力して枯れ葉や枝をかき集め、新聞紙を入れて息を吹きかけ…ついには立派なたき火が完成しました！
たき火で暖をとる生徒たちを眺めながら、そのチームワークの良さにこちらもほっこりとした２学期最後の物理基礎の授業でした
