【理科・生物基礎】DNAの抽出実験
kurihara例年以上に暑い夏休み、皆さんはいかがお過ごしでしょうか？
本校では中学生対象の１日体験学習も終わったところですが、受験先を考えている最中の中学生も多いのではないでしょうか。
ということで既に夏休みに入ってはいますが、引き続き１学期に行った理科の実験の様子をお送りしたいと思います。少しでも鹿南高の様子を感じていただければ幸いです
３年生の生物基礎では、夏休み直前に『DNAの抽出』実験を行いました
今回は皆さんが普段食べているであろう、ブロッコリーのDNAを取り出していきます。
まずはブロッコリーのつぼみの部分だけハサミでチョキチョキと切り、乳鉢に入れてペーストになるまですりつぶしていきます。
同時進行で、DNAを抽出するための液体（食塩と洗剤を混ぜたもの）も用意していきます。
すりつぶしたブロッコリーに洗剤食塩水を入れて、ゆっくりかきまぜたのちにガーゼで液体とブロッコリーに分けます。
ビーカーからガーゼを取り外すときは、緊張の一瞬。二人がかりで行います。なお、失敗したときはろ過をやり直しです
キンキンに冷やしたエタノールをビーカー内の液体に静かに注ぐと、白いもやもやが現れます。この糸状のものがDNAです。
ちなみに今まで本校では、バナナ、タマネギ、中庭のアジサイなどのDNAを抽出してきました
実はご家庭でも挑戦しやすい実験なので、いろいろなもののDNA抽出に挑戦してみるのも面白いかもしれませんね
